Decklink Multiple Card System
by Clarence on Sep 29, 2006 at 5:13:14 pm

The newer Decklink drivers are supposed to support multiple cards in one system.
We tried to install one Decklink SP and one Decklink Extreme in a WinXP SP2 (with v5.7 driver) and got a successfull job.
Both cards were installed well , one in IRQ 21 and the other on IRQ22.

But , we can't access these cards (1 and 2) individualy neither with BlackMagic software, neither with any other commercial one.
If we watch on Decklink SDK (v5.6.2 the last one) neither we can find any info about how to do this.
Has anyone any idea how to select multiple Decklink cards in a system ?

Thanks and regards.

Clarence

OK, I'll bite. WHY would you need to do this?

I am looking at doing the same exact thing. I would like to capture four sources per macpro or two sources per Xserver, and have them all controlled by one application. Has anyone here worked with the Decklink SDK? Basically we need to capture 8 sources concurrently direct to hard drive and will be in a production truck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
