Hello,
I need to output 4 channels of audio onto digibeta as 4 seperate channels (decklink extreme PCIe with FCP 5). Can I do this through the SDI output or do I need to export the audio channels as seperate files and print to digi at another facility?

Hi Kristian,
Thanx for the reply... but what does that mean exactly? embedded audio?
Will I be able to seperate the tracks, for example have the following on the digi beta:
channel 01: voice over
channel 02: music
channel o3: sound fx
channel 04: ambient sound
and how do I map them in this way? Is it through settings in FCP or the decklink or both?
thanx

Set FCP up for multiple outputs:
Go to: Sequence Settings
Go to: Audio Outputs (tab)
Where no. of outputs says 2, make it 4!
In your case, kill the stereo pairing and select "Dual mono"
Don't worry about the 0 or -3 thing.
Go back to your sequence, and use the grey area around the "Lock"
to CONTROL-Click and set the audio output of that track to 1,2,3 or 4.
Your not gonna downmix anything I presume, so it should be as simple
as that. Check your FCP audio mixer for 4 outputs, and make sure the "downmix"
button above the master fader is not checked.
All should be sweet!
