PCI bus slowdown/HDPro card

I have an HDPro card in a Mac dual 2.5 (4.5GB RAM). I have an HDPro card in slot 1, and a Sonnet eSATA host controller (a 133MHz card) in slot 3. The Decklink was outputting HD via the analog outputs just fine. No more- now all I get is HD-to-SD downconverted. The Decklink tech suggested this would be due to a slowdown of the PCIx bus- but I cannot figure out how that happened. Have tried every fix I know of (zapping PRAM, CUDA switch, using all manner of software maintenance- repairing permissions, CRON scripts, clearing all caches, etc.)- to no avail. Have also tried removing all cards and peripherals except Decklink- still no change. System works fine in SD- capturing 10-bit uncompressed SD all day long. Can the bus just "slow down"?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
William

Hi William,
I've responded to you via email as well. One quick way you can check if the card is in SD mode only is to open the OS X Display preference pane and see what modes are available in the Video Desktop. If you don't see any HD resolutions, then something is amiss. Please try that first.
Secondly, do you have another Mac to test this card in?

Yes, the OS X Display Preference panel shows only a small (SD) resolution pane. And no, I do not have another Mac to try this card in.
Thanks.
William.
