Cameras: DVX 100A and 100B
Format : 24PA
On images that are otherwise sharp and in focus, I'm getting very pronounced vertical bars where bright red objects meet dark ones (bright red shirt against a black backdrop, fire against dark background, etc..).
I know the footage is definitely 24PA. The footage is from 2 different cameras. Vertical detail was set to thin. Anything else relevant?
I see it the most at the intersection of bright red on black (mostly vertical from the object), as well as with bright white - but more vertical alongside the object... but that could be an illusion. Other colors are crisp against black...

I don't see exactly what you mean to be honest but if you're talking about the little blockiness around the edges of red items- well welcome to NTSC 4:1:1: DV... Also if these are screen shots say from within FCP or within the QT player with the high quality flag switched off it's just a proxy anyway. Always gauge your final video on a regular broadcast monitor.
