3CCD 1/3" vs 2/3" cameras when shooting live

Hello Folks
So, I got some choices to make. I've worked with Panasonic HVX200 and DVX100 - both 1/3" 3CCD cameras. Putting aside the option to swap lenses on the HDX900, does the fact that it uses a 2/3" 3CCD impact the image captured significantly when the goal is to output directly to the internet.
I am producing a show, talk show style like Tom Green, that will be broadcast exclusively on the internet live. No tape/p2 cards needed. Is it worth it to upgrade, when it seems that our HVX/DVX cameras might just do the job. This could simply be a bandwidth issue as well.

Depends on your intended internet resolution. These days with Vimeo and Youtube you can already go 720p or higher. So yeah a 2/3" camera will start to become more noticeable not just in overall image sharpness but in improved depth of field, etc. It's still the same old saw- garbage in garbage out.
Not to say by any stretch the HVX/DVX are garbage but if you are asking will you see a difference in final image quality once it hits the web- well that's entirely dependent on how high a quality you intend to distribute.
If you get 320x240 H.264 MOV files, then no you'll see little or no difference. You go to 720p or 1080p high quality QT or Flash files then you'll definitely see a difference.

I think the HDX is overkill for an Internet talk show. If you've given up archiving the show completely, you may as well use an SDX 900. that will give you nice depth (throw those curtains out of focus) and a sharp picture.. Also: renting or buying? the budget difference is huge.. - and your input mode for the live streaming? firewire or HD-SDI or composite? it all matters. If its firewire - the hvx or sdx will be fine.... if you're buying the camera - you've got to think beyond this one show to what you'll need in the future. Standard def is done long term, as a broadcast format - (though I still have clients who request it - but for how much longer?) tape acquisition itself may only be around another 5 years or so, no way to tell.

In my book: When we talk chip size on cameras, It's not about acquisition resolution. Its about image dynamic range or camera latitude.
Believe me . If you are working on a shoot that does not have a controlled lighting environment (ENG) then yes bigger is better. If you can control the lighting situation (EFP) then chip size it's not as critical.
