HMC150 on green screen
by Trevor Ward on Jun 20, 2009 at 2:06:41 pm

Anyone shoot the HMC150 against green screen? How does it key? What keyer? I don't shoot a lot of green screen. But I'd like to see how well it keys. I use Keylight in AE as my keying and compositing tool.

Sure it well-shot material keys fine from the 150, just watch out for over/under exposure and spill.

I just shot our first footage with green screen and the 150. This was probably the best key I have done. I had been shooting with a PD150 and minimal lights. More professional lighting to get a better coverage on the 12x10 green screen and the fact that the talent could get further away from the green screen, while also being well lit, made the key a breeze. I use DVMatte (from DVGarage) plug-in in Final Cut, but interested in playing with AE (just got it too).

I am new to this camera and have some things to learn - stay in touch!

Stephen
