Headphone Volume Adjustable?

On the DVX100A, is there any way to adjust the volume on the headphone port? I checked this forum, Barry’s book, manual, etc – can’t seem to find anything to suggest its variable.

Yes, I believe the controls are in the top of the camera or on the flip out monitor- so many cameras....

I have also use an audio booster in noisy situations.
