100p output fried

Footage and audio show fine on the LCD in playback and are captured ok w/firewire. Composite video, or SVHS, and audio out to a separate monitor are totally fried. The video jumps around with vertical/horizontal hold problems and audio is truly messed up. Even monitoring w/headphone during a shoot is a mess.
Anybody have similar problems? Is it worth fixing @$130/hr or is it time to buy a new camera?

You can get an estimate first. A new camera is a major expense. That said there are a lot of HD cameras out and coming- some from Panny that would be a nice upgrade such as the HMC150:
