Hey all,
I work for a production company, and we are in the process of switching to Panasonic DVCPRO HD format. We have to convert all our decks in post and I need to get the right decks. Does anyone know a model # of a DVCPRO HD deck that....
-Is just a playback deck, no record (if there is not one, I guess we'll go for the VTR) but more importantly...
-Can internally convert 23.98 progressive to 59.94interlaced.

Jamie,
The most common deck used for DVCPRO100 is the Panasonic 1400 which replaced the earlier version known as 1200A by adding many features including insert and assemble editing. It also includes Cine gamma Correction and a number of improvements in ease of use including switches instead of menu options for some functions. There is a more advanced deck known as 1700 which is more robust for everyday use in edit house environments. Go to the Panasonic Broadcast website for full information.
