Hi,
I am having some problems creating good quality flash video for progressive download and I have noticed that the creative cow tutorial videos are of excellent quality. The main issue is with text, I lose the sharp edges and artifacts appear around it. My current workflow is;
Start with XDCAM EX 1080p (35 VBS) as Hi-res, encode to flash at 750kb/s (On2 VP6) for flash player 8 and higher, 450x253 pixels.
Is this enough or do I need a much higher bit rate? Could someone detail the full process that tutorial video up-loaders go through so I can check it against mine

What do you use to encode to VP6?
Your frame size is much less than ideal. Aim for a frame size with both dimensions that are equally divisible by 16 or 8. If you don't your video quality will suffer.
