Simultaneous live streaming and audio capture
by moohead on Apr 9, 2005 at 2:29:05 am

I am kicking off a new internet radio show from my home. It is called Moohead Radio!!! I will be streaming live as well as archiving. Here's my question...

I have downloaded Windows Media Encoder 9.0. Will it enable me to do a live stream AND capture the audio simultaneously on the same computer? My plan would be to encode into the .wma format, save the file, import it into my Sonar 3.0 audio editor and compress that into an mp3 (that way I archive in both .wma and mp3)

My computer is a P4 3.2 HP laptop using a M-audio Audiophile external soundcard. 512 RAM.

The show will last one hour daily, archived at 48kbps. Streamed at 32kbps.

Will this work?

Moo
