AVID to apple color

Hi
I just completed an edit in MC 2.8. The question I want answering is this. I want to use apple colour as the finishing solution. I know Automatic Duck Pro Imp FCP can take a sequence with embedded media to FCP and you can go to color from there. The thing I want to do is go to color and export directly to AVID. At the moment I know this is impossible. My media is 1:1 in AVID so there should be no loss if I went from color to FCP and exported as a new file but am I right not to trust this? I think a pro export/import color plugin would be amazing. Will we ever see this or is it wishfull thinking?

Color cannot play back Avid Codec QuickTime movies, you can transcode your media in FCP to a Color-friendly codec. When you're done in Color render out a QuickTime movie that you can import into your Avid.
