Avid to AE: Flatten question
by Michael Powers on Jun 30, 2008 at 4:00:46 pm

Hi,

I am importing an AAF with the flatten option checked. The self-contained .mov is created - ~ same size as the original .mxf. However, when I unmount the Unity workspace where the original mxf was located, the flattened mov doesn't play. It is still looking for the mxf.

I looked at the mov's proporties>resource, and it still lists the original mxf.

Am I doing something incorrectly in the import procedure?

Thnx

That's interesting. Can you please create a support ticket and attach to the form your zipped logs folder? Thank you! http://www.automaticduck.com/support/contact

Sorry to waste your time. I too am unable to reproduce it!

The editor and I were having problems with it this morning. We were testing both copy and link (from Avid), which I told him your manual recommends against and ProAE's flatten. Neither worked. But when I tried to reproduce it just now, it works fine. We're using MediaNet 5.0.1(?), but no recent changes to it. Sorry to bother you.

I guess you have the touch...
