Re-Importing into AE
by Evan Lentz on Jun 14, 2008 at 4:52:34 am

I am working on a project in AE and adding effects, keying etc..
My client needs to re-edit the FCP file and send me a new AE file to work with, is there any way for the new AE file to inherit the work I have done already? Is there a workflow that I should follow?

Thanks!

You'll need to merge your changes in After Effects yourself since each translation by Pro Import AE knows nothing about any previous translations.

You can copy/paste effects or other types of things, it just depends on how drastic the changes are. Maybe you only need to update a few shots and you can leave the bulk of your comp intact.
