FCP to AE and back to FCP
by Eric Holzapfel on Jun 3, 2008 at 3:00:43 pm

Hello Forum,

I am contemplating getting Adobe After Effects CS3 Pro, and Automatic Duck Pro Import AE. My question is (as a total beginner in this), lets say I import my FCP timeline into After Effects, and figure out how to do something(!) in AE, how do I get my After Effects changes back into FCP? or... gulp.... do I have to have the "export" program to put the changed/edited timeline back in to FCP?

Thanks,

Eric

You simply render a QuickTime movie out of After Effects (via the Render Queue). The movie you render should have the same properties (codec, frame size, frames per second) as your sequence preset in Final Cut Pro.
