microphone mixer?
by Raiderneal on Aug 9, 2006 at 7:28:47 am

Hello,

I am new to event videography and I have a question regarding multiple microphones. For example, if I am using more than two microphones (camera only has two XLR inputs), it appears that I need to use some type of mixer. Is this correct? Please let me know what you guys use. There seems to be many models and a very diverse price-range. I saw a shure M267 at the local pawn shop for $50. Would this be good enough? Any advice that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

The 267 is a fine field mixer.

However, I prefer to use additional recording devices instead (see my reply to the post just below this one.

Regards,
Doug Graham
