Music Software
by Mark Altland on Aug 6, 2009 at 7:20:46 pm

I am currently using Sony Cinescore for background music to go with Sony Vegas and am quite unsatisfied with the selection of music they offer. So I am now in the market for a different music creation software that does looping. I have looked quite a few places and can't seem to find anything except for Sonicfire Pro 5. Am I missing something or is this the only other alternative out there.

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark. I may not fully understand your question... But I was discussing this with a music composer that I work with quite a bit and he recommended that you go with "Logic or Ableton Live."

Is this helpful at all?

Sony ACID is the likely contender you are looking for. It is the 800 pound gorilla of looping software systems.

Another *possible* contender *might* be Adobe Soundbooth, though it is definitely not up to the level of Acid.

Best regards,

I appreciate your help, but I need to clarify myself. I don't want to create the music, I just want to be able to select the already composed music from a "library" and tell it how long I want it to last.

Thanks,

Mark

hey mark! i think, if you're working on a pc, the best software you could use for video and audio syncin' is Steinberg's Nuendo. It's quite easy to use, the mixer engine sounds great and it's the perfect fit for your needs from my point of view.
Good luck with that!
