One of the most remarkable videos in the VIDEOS/REELS section -- Bruce Branit's 'World Builder' (in 720p)

Every once in a while, we get a video in Creative COW's REELS/VIDEOS section (linked in the orange navigation bar) that is so remarkable that we want to make sure that our members will find them.

The other day, Bruce Branit's "World Builder" short film was added to the COW's video library and we think that you will agree that it is a magnificent piece of storytelling. While it starts initially with a lot of technology, it is an arresting and rewarding human story that is one of the best short films we've seen in a while.

So, if you have a few minutes, visit it and watch it in 720p (or in any of the smaller versions linked above the movie, for those with lower bandwidth availability).

This guy has been around a long time, and essentially started the internet short movement with 405. What I love about a short like World Builder is that it is essentially a sizzle reel of an artist's talents, yet it tells a story at the same time, and is done very artistically. Thanks Bessie for the link. According to his site, World Builder is being made as a feature. Neil Blomkamp has a nice portfolio of effects driven spots pre-dating District 9 also.

I went to a different computer and it's working now.

Not sure what happened. The first time I tried the video was trying to load, but then came back and said something like, "The MP4 file is no longer available."
