Trouble remaining logged in again!
by Alan Lloyd on Oct 30, 2009 at 2:28:34 pm

It's happening again, and seemingly random. I came here this morning, was logged out. Signed in, fine, read some posts, went to the top forum page, found myself logged out again.

It happened yesterday when I went to post a comment on a thread.

I am not doing anything different. This has only reappeared in the last few days.

I've found this is a Cookie issue generally associated with Firefox. I experience this quite a bit when using that browser and decided to switch to Chrome. What browser are you using and what OS?

Firefox 3.5.4, Win XP/SP3.

I will try to replicate the problem on my laptop, to determine if it is machine-specific.

You might also try ccleaner to clean out your cookies and other pc stuff as the problem could be associated with FF getting confused with the bulk of cookies or something. Good program I use:

Things seem to be acting "normal" again, on both machines. This is without any cookie manipulation.

I had ie8 logging me out after a day or two. I cleaned my internet cache (including cookies) and all of a sudden the problem is gone. FWIW.
