PC Vs Mac
by Tom Skelton on Jul 1, 2009 at 1:19:46 pm

Hey guys,
the dreaded question.
I want to be running, adobe products - after effects, photoshop, illustrator. Some kind of video software, eg, Sony Vegas, FCP, Premiere. and would also like to use a music editor eg. logic, pro tools, cubase.

Has any one got any suggestions or feedback and reasons why for there setup or ideal setup.

Look forward to seeing some replies.

Tom

If you like PCs, go with a PC. If you like Macs, go with a Mac. There, done. Simple enough.

An even better idea: buy a Mac, and run Windows on it. That way, you have the best of both.

It's pretty slick. You can run:

Mac-only software
PC-only software

Even both at the same time!

There are gazillions of people at the Cow who are running Windows applications, including me. My own application use is pretty lightweight, but you'll find bunches of people in forums across the Cow who are running PC-only applications like Vegas, Max, and many others, on their Macs.

And if you decide to run Mac-only apps too, you're golden.

There's only one way to have it both ways: buy a Mac. Buy Windows. Use 'em together.
