Can't FULLY View "Motion Design" by Eran Stern

Hi
This may be dumb to you....but I bought Eran Stern.s MOTION DESIGN. I am using an iMAC 15 inch screen. In the past, when I input the disk, up inside the VIEW drop down menu, I was able to CHANGE my screen to HALF and be able to watch the entire video presentation, seeing the entire landscape.
I am not able to do that now or with this DVD. So I see only the middle 80% of the presentation.
I know this is dumb 101, but how do I get to see the entire landscape ? I'm not able to see what drop down menus ERAN is using or the bottom TIME BAR as to where I am in the presentation. There are no controls up under VIEW to give me HALF SCREEN.
