The demo version won't allow you to export objects until the software is authorized. I didn't run into any issues using your project file, but I sent you a reply with another way that you can try exporting your objects.

Thanks Edward! I am using 3D Invigorator Pro 4.5.1. I downloaded 5.1 and ran it from demo mode. However, the feature I'm trying to use "export 3D object" is dimmed out.

For fast 3d text you can use ShapeShifter AE from Mettle. You can then link the positioning controls in SSAE to a Null that has track info for positioning.

AE is looking for a plugin - "3d serpentine" - You can install the trial and continue with your project.

I agree - the PS 3D to AE is not a particularly useable solution, but Zaxwerks 3D Invigorator is quite reasonable in price, and very useable.

The spikes can be reduced using the "Mesh" button. I don't exactly recall where it is, but it's an option for the object.

Unfortunately there is no good news. 3d PSD layers in AE slow down the software even on the fastest machines. In theory it should work great, but the reality is different.
