The viewfinder hood is made my Blackmagic-Design and is bundled with the camera. Close look says that the tripod is the Sachtler Video 20 S1, follow focus is Chrosziel, and the red on the mounting plate and rods tells me Zacuto.

Yeah, the internal battery issue isn't a hit. But lack of viewfinder is no different than HDSLR shooting. Either you'd need a loupe (might be kinda big for a 5" screen, but I'll bet they'll be made) or an EVF like Zacuto's offerings.

The D7K does not have the same resolution specs as the Canon's however, it has a leg up on recording time and a well exposed take is viable regardless of that aspect.
