Customizing the EX 60i template and changing the Field Order to "Progressive" lets Vegas render to about 17% of the the 1h 24m movie.
Then the progress bar stops, approximate time left counts down to zero and the elapsed time keeps counting.

Actually when adobe finds a codec it recognizes in the QT wrapper it bypasses the QT API and just codes it using it's own engine. As it does with h264 files in an MOV container. I believe it will do this with XDCAM material as well. | | | | |

I have had a few very stressful days, I saved footage I shot on sxs cards onto a hard drive and some how the hard drive was corrupted. I have recovered all the files but when I looked at them in xdcam transfer the first 5 clips say "no codec"
