Wirecast 4.1.4 and Wowza 3 is a good combination. Both made updates that addressed lots of issues.

There may not be enough info so I'm going to have to make some assumptions. Don't stream 720 unless the player and your viewers can handle it. Lower the Wirecast Canvas size. Lower the encoder frame size and data rate. Your CPU/GPU combination do

From Wirecast just send Flash H.264 RTMP. If you've properly setup Wowza it will send an iOS compatible stream (http segmented H.264).

I use MacBookPro Wirecast Matrox MXO2-LE (with Express port or Thunderbolt adaptor) Sony EX1 Desktop Presenter can grab the PowerPoint if it's on the same computer or another computer on the network (Gigabit preferred).

Wirecast Window>Camera Preview allows you to see all the source inputs live. It uses lots of CPU resources though. Update to Wirecast 4.1.4.

The state of the matrox drivers are insane at the moment, and really need to be fixed. Yes you can get 10.8 drivers for FCPX and COmpressor, however if you want to use anything else including Matrox's own capture software you are out of luck. Y

Yes the fact you need different drivers for FCP7 etc/FCPX/and CS6 is a real pain. I and many others have put in a request for more mature drivers on the Matrox form. I bet it will happen sooner or later, at least FCPX and other current Apps like C

Wirecast should reconnect but certainly functions on the server side may have an impact. You can test with the free demo of Wirecast. Always use the current version. Wirecast is at 4.1.3
