I'm still a bit confused about your objectives.
A switcher stil requires a computer. A computer still requires a video input card or box.
If you want the most portable system, adding a hardware switcher increased the gear needed.

Be very careful on your tests. Your techs won't be able to tell the difference between 'no delay' and delay within 100 milliseconds or so. The brain just fixes A/V sync below that - it's a feature!

I would not exchange anything until I ran some tests as I described. I hate to make blanket statements but as a general rule I have found that Panasonic switchers add more delay than the Black Magic. Again, it depends on what the switcher is doing | | | | |
