I followed your advice, and it was 10x better....however, still very blurry. The original .png was clear, but once it gets into Vegas, it gets very blurry.

The issue is particularly not with most of the video cards,
its the Vegas GPU architecture etc.... But yes, most users get
better results using nvidia cards. | | | | |

It can't be done directly in Vegas.
One option is to buy Sidechain Compressor from db audioware ($90 U.S.).

Each audio track in Vegas has an effects button in the left window of the track. When you click the effects button a window opens up that will allow you to assign many different effectc. The compressor effect is fully adjustable and works well.

I would like to be able to use sidechain compression in my videos where I have narration with BG music. Does anyone know if this can be achieved in Vegas? I couldn't figure out how to feed in a key signal to the standard compressor.

I created a video using Vegas Pro 9 filmed on a GoPro HD Hero 2.
The settings are matched to the file properties and have small black borders on either side when editing but when I upload to youtube it ruins the video.
It should be 1280x720.

You are right. If I drag the thumbnail of the preset it works. I am not sure if this makes it a Boris Bug, a Vegas Bug, a Compatibility Bug, or all of the above, but some dev should find out.

This works in Movie Studio 10, so I assume it's the same in Vegas Pro versions...
Change the keyframe interpolation "Smoothness" to 100% for all your pan/crop keyframes, and you'll get a fairly smooth curve between points instead of the standard s | | | | |
