Vince yeah you can use native transitions in PP like you described, but if you try and use a 3rd party transition effect such as Sapphire Edge transitions -it won't work. If you want a 10 frame transition you have to razor 5 frames on the outgoi

You should check out that Sapphire Edge package for those kind of transitions and effects! It's really very good and you can use thier FX Central to continuously add new FREE variations and presets! It's not cheap but it's definitely worth it.
