I would recommend building custom buttons like that in Photoshop and then importing them in.
You really don't have a whole lot of control for DSP buttons.

Is it a PSD file you're bringing in from Photoshop? If so, be sure to just grab the layer the logo is on.

Photoshop doesn't have any such functionality. You'll have to bring your ticket into a page layout app or word processor and overlay the auto-numbering there.

Open up the graphic in Photoshop, add an alpha channel to it with black where it's supposed to be transparent and white where the logo is supposed to show, and save that as a .tiff, .tga or .png. Then use that in FCP.

If you captured via FireWire.. then it was just data transfer to begin with.
