I have a problem with my motion project. it seems that motion doesn´t handle my photoshop text layers as text layers after impoting them into motion.

- Use the filters/video/NTSC colors option in Photoshop (if you have it) when photo editing is done, that should fix the difficult colors such as red..

You should be able to use the photoshop patch tool to clean plate the trees
by adjacent pixels and when parts are revealed. Mocha in cs4 is great, but luma and alpha mattes are still much faster.

I seem to recall that Kevin Camp -- a guy who really knows his AE stuff around here -- swears by the Hue/Saturation effect. Just set the master color saturation to -100. Done.
AE sure isn't Photoshop, is it?

In Photoshop, be sure to export your images for the web using the "Save for web and devices" tool from the File menu. Don't just save as.
This way, Photoshop will select the parameters your image needs to display OK on web browsers.

I'm trying to fill a D1 sized layer with 14 pixel text. When the layer is about a third full, all the text disappears. I tried making the layer in Photoshop and import it, but the same thing happened.

AE's the wrong application. Don't use it. AE only knows about RGB -- CMYK doesn't exist in AE-Land, so you'll be MUCH better off in Illustrator or Photoshop.

It's not something I would have tried in a practical sense, but if I remember correctly, in CS3, you could slice up the image and assign properties/attributes to the slices. However I don't think I ever found any direct avenue of output to HTML...
