Paul Get yourself the AJA ioXT or a Matrox MXO2 device. You have more options with Matrox. Output your video video HDMI from the IO device to a TV monitor. Don't use a computer monitor to judge your output.

You'll need to set the laptop output to 525i5994 NTSC. That may or may not be possible depending on the video card, but it's a really small screen size for Windows. Most of the time you'll want to convert the signal via something like a Matrox MX02.
