Once you have it creates in motion you can save it as a template which is accesable directly in FCP where all you have to do is change the text on the lower 3rd.
There are no "technical solutions" to your "artistic problems".

How are you transfering the file to FCP? Just importing the LiveType project file? Also there is a preference in LT to include or not include the background, so be sure it's included.

On a running FCS2-FCP6 system if you upgrade to FCS3-FCP7, Livetype stays and is not deleted. If however, you choose to install Snow Leopard first and do an 'erase and install', then of course you lose Livetype.

As to LiveType, yes, it will remain on your machine, and yes, it will definitely work with FCP7, and there is still and Export to LiveType function.

I'm 99% certain you can put in the Studio 2 discs and just select LiveType as the install item.
Yeah, it was noted when Studio 3 came out that LiveType is no longer included with the suite.

(example 4 instead of 3.56) or the scan lines would make them appear fuzzy.

Your LiveType settings do not sound like they are proper for HD. LiveType comes defaulted to DV file dimensions and has to be set manually to create text sizes for HD.
