Well, you could get the GY-HM100. If you can pony up a few grand more, you're looking at the JVC GY-HM700, although with batteries, charger, case and tripod adaptor plate, you're looking at another $1,000 on top of that.

There are no propper settings, only a variety of choices. It all depends on what format you want top shoot: 720p24 or 1080p24. Without that information not even a JVC guy can tell you how settings should be in FCP.
