Make sure that you are using the DV capture tool and not the HDV capture tool. Does Windows see the DV camcorder? If it doesn't Vegas never will. This could point to a bad firewire cable. | | | | |

Do you have a Mini DV camcorder or deck? This would be the easiest. You won't have deck control on a VCR. High-end 1/2" Editing decks would allow this.
