There is no way other than animating the Camera(parented to a null or not).
You have to do it manually. As Dave said creating a Camera Rig would help to give precise and subtle camera moves.

You don't need to have any 3rd party plugin for this. This is just simple animation of 3D Layers with a lot of planning and a blue print.
The camera movement can be done using a Null as Dolly.
