That is correct, you will be capped at 4 GB (actually 3 something) given it is 32-bit. Having the extra RAM is a really good idea because it gives you room to multi-task with other programs. With 16 GB of RAM you can set aside 4 GB for Combustion, | | | | |

I don't think Combustion will use any more than 4gb-ish as it's a 32 bit app. I've got 8gb on a Win7-64 machine and Combustion will happily use about 4gb but no more. It's unfortunate but it seems Combustion won't make it to 64 bit. :( | | | | |

That sounds like trouble with a graphics driver. Are there any Mac utilities to do a "system check & heal?" If the pink goes away after a reboot, I would just try to ignore it.

Is the shot going to be static or moving? Static you'll be able handle yourself. If it's not locked off you'd best either hire a VFX person ASAP or master motion tracking yourself ASAP. And, Autodesk Combustion would be a better tool than AE.
