I did some testing this evening with the BM "Video Desktop" option turned off.
It appears to have corrected the Apple Aperture instability issue.
The DeckLink HD card can now co-exist with the Aperture software.

Says it all - and no, I couldn't use the eyedropper to get a good white balance in Aperture.... A gives me a warm 4039K +13, whereas ACR gives a neutral 3520K +12.
