I am using Episode to convert 1080i60 to 720p50 and the subject matter is proving difficult to obtain clean conversions.
Two areas that cause the most problems:
1) moving streams of text across the screen, causing the font to morph.

I edit EX1 footage every day natively in PPro CS3 and CS4...no conversion is necessary.

Amberfin has a free utility that will deconvolve the Sony mxf into m2v video stream and aes audio files. The m2v files can then be read by most mpeg codecs. If you google AMBERFIN or MXF DESKTOP, you should be able to find this utility. | | | | |

"MC Soft" is just an abbreviation for Avid Media Composer with no Adrenaline/Mojo/Nitris/DX acceleration M(edia) C(omposer) Soft(ware only). From the sound of it you already have that.
