Any more, we're all mostly "online" editors. Mostly gone are the days where an edit is "offlined" then "onlined" by a specialist. Maybe my definition of this is different from your's, but pretty much I'd guess that well over 90% of the work is finish

You might try going to Alpha Dogs in Burbank and using their Digital Service Station as an option. alphadogs.tv Give em' a call, setup an appointment and bring a hard drive with your video as a self contained quicktime. They're great.

Mini DV is absolutely not uncompressed, and if your source is DVCPRO HD, then Mini DV is not the way to archive it. Since you shot DVCPRO HD, you could put it out to DVCPRO HD, though for archival purposes D5 or HDCAM SR are the highest quality tape

You are right that Pro Export FCP does not support 24fps, though some users (I'm looking at you Alpha Dogs!) say that it "just works" when capturing 24fps in Symphony Nitris. Alas, we don't yet support this. Furthermore there isn't a "common" forma
