Hello,

The answer seems to be a pretty obvious "no" in this case, but maybe im missing something.

Im working on a short film which i plan to develope into a webseries. The film is based on a videogame episode, which I think i can translate perfectly for the small screen. Much like what they did with "Mortal Kombat Rebirth" and a recent string of splinter cell fan films.

My question is, would i be allowed to raise money as a non-profit orginization to shoot this film? Obviously, were not allowed to make any money off it since we dont own the rights, but we will need some assistance funding wise and im wondering if its even possible and/or legal to do this. It might be a legal grey area, or just completly illegal.

Thanks

Ty
