Books to compliment "Directing the Documentary" by Michael Rabiger
by Ben Edwards on Nov 22, 2009 at 2:57:11 pm

Hello everybody, Ive I have been using the Sony Vegas forum for a while but am looking for somewhere to discuss documentary film making in general. Is this the best place or are there other sites worth looking at.

I have been making short documentaries for a number of years and came across "Directing the Documentary" by Michael Rabiger which seems to be considered as one of the premier documentary makers bible. I haven't looked at it for a few years and have lost my copy so have just reordered it. What other books do people recomend to complement this text either from a tecnical or non technical point of you. I am particularly keen to look more into lighting and asthetics in general.

Any recomentasions,
Ben
