Sam,

In 2006 I travelled to Southeast Asia to shoot a short form doc about some workers there. We actually shot on two HVX200's. That may be more that what you are looking for. I have looked at that little Panny and it looks like it would rock! I even noticed that Alton Brown used one on his show "Feasting on Asphalt 2" on the food network!

Anyway, to avoid the look to "pros" as we walked through airports we packed all of our gear in old suitcases. I went to a fabric store and bought some decent foam, cut out holes for the gear and packed it in suitcases. Just be sure to use a little duct tape or luggage straps incase the latches give up. The only time we get really strange looks was when our audio kit went through the x-ray machine in a former soviet republic, all those cables made then a little nervous. Try to say Mic Cable in russian!

Good luck!
