The AJA Io LA is now an end-of-life product. It was specifically designed to work with Final Cut Pro. If you are considering a new computer and card purchase, AJA offers two choices that would support ingest from Betacam SP and HD video monitoring via a variety of applications.
The first choice is the KONA LHe Plus. It provides analog and digital i/o and would allow you to ingest from Betacam SP via component analog connection. You can also use the KONA LHe Plus for HD monitoring via SDI or component analog. You can learn more about the product here:

AJA also offers the KONA LHi. Like the KONA LHe Plus, it provides analog and digital i/o, but in addition to SDI digital connectivity, it also offers HDMI i/o.
