Default video output will not hold
by Peter Wollsey on Oct 30, 2009 at 9:42:56 pm

I have a KONA LHE that I use with FCP 6.0.5 and COLOR 1.0.4. MAC PRO 2X2.8 QUAD INTEL XEON, OSX 10.5.6, NVIDIA QUADRO FX5600.

I want my default video output through the KONA to be black (going out via SDI to PANASONIC BT-LH2600W).

I change my settings in the KONA control panel to DEFAULT VIDEO OUTPUT - BLACK. However if I then go to COLOR, then leave COLOR, the DEFAULT VIDEO OUTPUT always reverts to COLOR BARS 75%. This is very bad, because if the monitor is left with bars for an exended period of time, when I return to use it I can see parts of the bars burnt in to the monitor for a few hours (kind of ghosting effect).

Does anyone know how to fix this fault with the KONA?
