broadcast monitor playback
by ayman abdel-basset on Oct 27, 2009 at 3:49:38 pm

Hi,

In my company we have many edit suites of FCP with kona LH.
we usually face problem.
my self didn't face with the blackmagic..

when we import any QT file (for example) H.264.
then insert it in sequence of aja HD uncompressed.
it gives red bar for render!
when we render it and play it back!
it doesn't play on broadcast monitor!

So i import this H264 (for example)into new sequence.
then i click OK for the dialogue to make the sequence same acid of the file..
then hit play!
no play on broadcast monitor!

so i found solution for it that i open the clip in QT player then RExport it to QT apple prores or any aja codec file..then it plays fine on the broadcast monitor..

i see this is crazy especially if long time file...

this problem happen in all FCP suites we have(4 suites)
for any QT i put on the timeline created by codec different than prores or aja..
(animation,none,h264,pal....)

in the blackmagic it was not happen!
so where is the problem??

best regards
