Re: 24p workflow. Kona LH vs Compressor?

Hi,

For video not in 24p, just standard 1080i60, I currently connect the camera with the cable provided from Canon to the AJA Kona breakout box (with 3 BNC adaptors) to component video (SMPTE/EBU N10) and analog audio (with 2 XLR adaptors) and am getting great results with Final Cut Pro = [AJA Kona LH:1080i 29.97 Apple ProRes 422 timeline].

I am not sure what all the rage is with 24p but thought I would give it a try, so am looking at either converting with my Kona LH if that is possible or another way.

There is an option in the AJA control panel to convert to 1080sf 23.98, 1080sf 24, or 1080p24. The Canon HV30 manuel says that the video is "PF24", which I don't know which of the 3 Kona options matches PF24.

Hope that clears up my setup.

Thanks again!

Shaun
