Jeremy is correct (he is always correct).
IF you want to use a laptop, you need the Cal Digit HD One. You will not be able to use other slot 34 adaptors with other drive arrays.

As for Highpoint vs. ATTO, there is no question. The ATTO R380 is one of the highest performance SAS/SATA cards to ever come out. It is world class. It is approved by many drive vendors, including Sonnet Techology and AVID for the VideoRAID ST. The Highpoint - well, you must be kidding, right ?
