-Are you using third party plugins like Primatte? Have you -rendered very long sequences, like 30 minutes worth where the -whole timeline needs rendering? This would be good to know...

Not Primatte... but yes we have rendered very long sequences, usually not one effect on the entire sequence but LiveType segments and other effects that require the whole thing to be rendered.
