The AJA tools you are referring too does not make ProRes conversions of files it only works on uncompressed footage.
EVERYONE has to be more diligent about offering up the hardware and software version information when asking for help at this level. I assume if you are working with DPX files you have some understanding of the workflow needed to handle this type of file.
