OK - the Kona 3 card uses 2 different AES connectors - those are not analog XLR's----

Have you set FCP to monitor all of the audio channels? by default it mixes down to stereo.

"I have checked 5.1 surround in user prefference"

FCP DOES NOT support 5.1 surround sound playback at this time. - you can fake it- but true 5.1 is not available.

its just not set up correctly - the application does not configure itself.
