New Kona 3 v5 Software Woes

I have not been able to successfully run the latest Kona 3 software version 5. I've run the AJA uninstaller, restarted, ran the v5 installer, restarted, trashed preferences (although this is done automatically during install), launched FCP, and chose a Kona setup in the presets dialog box, and then BAM! FCP disappears with no "Unexpectedly Quit" box. If I choose a plain DV setting at first, and then choose a Kona setup after FCP startup, I am able to work for a bit before the inevitable crash. I know this is offered as a Leopard update, but AJA says it should work with Tiger. I've since gone back to v4, and have been good to go, but I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue?
